As a minor, I did entrepreneurship and fashion merchandising because I wanted to do other things besides T-shirts. I didn't take design classes. It evolved into this.

Although her mom helped her navigate a sewing machine, and she was in a construction course, she mostly had to figure it out on her own.

Swinson practiced some form of art as a child. She once wanted to be an architect and was interested in drawing.
